JSC "Gonets Satellite System" (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) has successfully completed the tasks of the targeted use of the Multifunctional Space Relay System (MSRS) Loutch during the launch of the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Progress MS-24 transport cargo ship (TCS).

The successful launch of the "Progress MS-24" TCS was carried out on August 23 at 04:08:10 Moscow Time from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. During the launch of the launch vehicle, in order to transmit telemetric information and issue control commands on board, the relay channels of the MKSR "Loutch" (operator - JSC "Gonets Satellite System") were used. After the spacecraft left the radio visibility zone of ground facilities, the Luch system transmitted information from the "Progress MS-24" spacecraft to the Mission Control Center (MCC) of the Russian segment (RS) of the ISS.

In the course of further work, the Loutch system was used to relay telemetry data from "Progress" during its docking to the ISS RS, which was successfully carried out in unmanned mode on August 25 at 06:45:18. The Loutch-5A and Luch-5B spacecrafts and the means of the ground-based relay support complex were involved in the organization of the relay channels. A total of 18 retransmission sessions were conducted.
