JSC "Satellite System "Gonets" (part of the State Corporation "Roscosmos") presented satellite monitoring solutions at a high-level Working Group to develop proposals for the convergence of positions of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on the issue of "Climate and Digital Data Bank".
The meeting of the working group with the participation of representatives of EAEU countries, including various state corporations and departments, was held on February 21.
During the event, Maxim Diordiev, Director of the Satellite Systems Application Directorate of Gonets Satellite System JSC, presented a report on five services for various industries developed in the company recently. Among them is the Gonets – TSK solution, which allows you to remotely monitor the condition of any pipeline systems, including the most remote ones. The Messenger-Hydromet service, in turn, makes it possible to receive weather data from remote automatic stations, regardless of their location on the map.
Along with the capabilities of the services, Maxim Diordiev revealed the potential of using the data obtained by the Gonets system in the "Climate and Digital Data Bank", the creation and use of which was discussed at the working meeting. Information received from remote areas is of particular value in the implementation of current operational activities, the formation of forecasts and mechanisms for a "quick response", for example, in the event of an environmental or man-made disaster. The further dialogue of the participants of the Working Meeting will continue within the framework of consultations on the areas of cooperation of interest.
