"Gonets" took part in the Fishery Forum

JSC "Satellite System" Gonets " (part of the State Corporation "Roscosmos") took part in the IV Fishing Forum, held in St. Petersburg from September 8 to 10. The event is a key event for the fishing industry and is held annually. The company's exposition was part of a joint stand with the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Fisheries and Communications Monitoring System" (CSMS), which is an exclusive distributor of Gonets ship equipment in Russia.

As exhibits, the visitors were presented with the ship stations "Gonets", installed on fishing vessels in all fishing basins. This year, JSC "Satellite System" Gonets " presented at the forum a promising antenna-feeder device used with ship stations "Gonets". It has been successfully tested and will be mass-installed on ships from October of this year. The distinctive features of the new antenna are the improvement of the indicators of tightness and corrosion resistance, as well as the use of new types of cable connectors.

During the forum, JSC "Satellite System "Gonets" held a number of working meetings. In particular, the general director of the satellite operator Pavel Cherenkov held a meeting with the Acting head of the FSBI "TSMS" Alexander Mikhailov. Negotiations were also held between JSC "Main Management of Barge-towing personnel", LLC "Nobel Brothers Shipyard", and other organizations. The forum participants from other countries showed interest in the Gonets satellite services. In particular, the company's stand was visited by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Mozambique and the Consul of the Embassy of Mozambique in Russia, Mr. Anibal, who expressed interest in the Gonets ship stations, since Mozambique is a maritime country and has an urgent need for satellite ship equipment.

The Gonets ship terminals have been used on fishing vessels as technical means of control for more than 4 years. During this time, JSC "Gonets Satellite System" has gained valuable experience in using its stations on ships conducting fishing activities in various climatic zones and latitudes of the world ocean. This allows the operator to develop its products and services based on feedback from fishermen and staff of service organizations. The fishing Forum once again became the platform where a lively and productive communication took place between companies leading the fishery, organizations providing services and supplying equipment, and industry regulators.
