JSC "Gonets Satellite System" (part of the State Corporation "Roscosmos") together with JSC "NPP "Cascade" has developed a unique solution for satellite monitoring of reservoirs "Gonets-Ecolog". With its help, it is possible to measure the levels of liquids in open and closed tanks in close to real time.
The key components of the platform are a radio wave level gauge and a satellite communication terminal "Gonets". The measurement data is sent to the monitoring centers for processing via the "Gonets" satellite channels. The devices allow remote data collection from monitoring objects in any areas, including the most remote ones with insufficient or completely absent coverage by ground-based communication systems. This is due to the orbital construction of the "Gonets" system, which provides 100% coverage of the Globe with communication services and session data transmission.
