On the eve of the Cosmonautics Day, a representative of the Gonets Satellite System JSC (part of the Roscosmos Group of Companies) told the children about spacecrafts and the possibilities and prospects for the development of satellite communications in Russia.

The head of the HR department of JSC SS Gonets, Kira Krylova, met with students of the 4th grades of the Moscow State School No. 1571 and told the children about space, about what kind of spacecrafts there are and what purposes satellite communications are used for. As part of her presentation, K. Krylova spoke about two systems operated by JSC SS Gonets: the Gonets personal satellite communication system and the Luch space relay system, about their functions and areas of application. Kira also showed the children satellite models of two systems, clearly told about their technical characteristics and functional features. The guys learned that it is possible to transmit the coordinates of their location from a remote forest, where there is no cellular connection, using the Gonets system, and the Luch system provides communication with the Earth to astronauts on the International Space Station.

The young generation was particularly interested in information about what awaits unique space systems in the future, how they will develop further and what their capabilities will be. The representative of JSC "Satellite System "Gonets" noted the high interest of schoolchildren in the world of high technologies in the field of space activities. At the end of the meeting, the children congratulated Kira on the upcoming Cosmonautics Day and wished her great success in such an interesting professional activity.
