Gonets took part in the V International Fishing Forum

<p style="text-align: justify;">
    <span style="font-size: 1.063rem;">JSC "Satellite System "Gonets" (part of the State Corporation "Roscosmos") presented solutions for communication and monitoring on fishing vessels at the V International Fisheries FORUM (GLOBAL FISHERIES FORUM). The Forum was held on September 21-23, 2022 in St. Petersburg.</span>

<p>
     The satellite operator Gonets participated in the event as a partner at the stand of the Center for Monitoring Systems of Fisheries and Communications (CSMS), where he presented the possibilities of using satellite communications for sea and river transport. The equipment of the Gonets system was presented at the forum: ship earth stations of two modifications and antenna-feeder devices designed for installation on sea and river vessels of various displacement and purpose. In order to improve the safety of vessels and control of fishing, the equipment of the Gonets system is installed on vessels that catch in areas above 75 degrees north latitude. Thus, continuous monitoring of the location of vessels along the entire navigation route and the solution of other tasks is ensured. The monitoring data of fishing vessels are transmitted to the regional centers of the industry monitoring system of the CSMS via secure channels of satellite communication "Gonets". The use of the system is conditioned by the possibilities of ensuring stable communication in all fishing basins, including the northernmost territories.

     Representatives of the Gonets satellite system generally noted the high interest of the Forum participants in the capabilities of the low-orbit satellite communication system.

     GLOBAL FISHERY FORUM is the main congress event of the Russian fishing industry, where the most important issues of economic efficiency and social stability, regulation of fishing and competition, legislative support of the industry and the ratio of public and private interests are discussed. This year, the jubilee Fishing Forum has become the largest in the entire history of its holding, more than 400 companies from 40 regions of Russia and 25 countries of the world took part in it.
