JSC "Gonets Satellite System" (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) took part in the work of the Maritime Congress. The event was held on May 30-31 in Vladivostok. The Congress is a multidisciplinary platform for the development of business contacts, the exchange of experience and the presentation of opportunities for the modern maritime industry.
The management of JSC Gonets Satellite System took part in a number of events of the business program of the Congress, including practical sessions "Successful business with China: how it works", a discussion session "Digital transformation of the Russian shipbuilding industry", etc. The company's experience in providing satellite monitoring of fishing vessels with the Gonets system has a high potential for use in solving tasks of monitoring vessels of all types, including transmitting data on their current operation and production processes via satellite channels, including in the Far Eastern region.
The transfer of data from the electronic fishing magazine through the Gonets system, which started at the beginning of this year, was noted as a relatively new and actively developing direction. In addition, the ship's Gonets equipment can be successfully used for personal communications on board. At the same time, for the Russian fleet, the Gonets system guarantees information and technological sovereignty with the absence of unpredictable disconnections from the satellite network, which is especially sensitive for the shipowner and crew when the vessel is on a fishing trip or on a voyage.
