06.06.2024

A representative of the Gonets Satellite System JSC (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) took part in the XV International Ecology Forum, which was held on June 4-5, 2024 in Moscow.

Alexey Panasov, Head of the Commercial Directorate, spoke at the session "Industrial Environmental Friendliness: how to maintain a balance between the economy and the environment" and spoke about the current activities and development prospects of the Gonets satellite communications operator. Recently, due to the active transition to domestic satellite communication channels, both the consumer segment, including the fishing fleet, logging equipment and various infrastructure facilities, and the sales volume of satellite operator services have increased significantly.

Regarding the environmental industry and environmental management, the Gonets system makes it possible to continuously monitor mobile and stationary objects, including liquid media, which allows preventing man-made accidents and illegal actions at energy storage facilities. Accurate and timely data transmission using the Gonets system allows you to monitor emergency situations at any facilities of the petrochemical industry, municipal facilities and wastewater treatment plants, dams and dams. In the future, JSC Gonets Satellite System, as an operator of communication systems included in the federal Sphere project, will be able to offer end users a wider range of satellite communication services, namely: broadband data transmission and Internet access, IoT, mobile satellite communications, etc.

The Ecology International Forum is one of the leading public and business platforms for discussing topical environmental issues in the field of environmental protection and environmental management. The Forum, which has been held annually since 2009, is attended by representatives of all levels of government, public and commercial organizations, the scientific community, independent experts and eco-activists.
