JSC Gonets Satellite System (part of Roscosmos State Corporation) took part in the 3rd International Conference "#SpaceCom Digital Russia 2022 - Satellite Communications Industry in the Era of Digital Transformation", where relevant experts traditionally discussed the current state and prospects for the development of satellite communications.
As part of the conference, Pavel Cherenkov, General Director of the Gonets Satellite System JSC, took part in the round table "Satellite Novels: what changed 2021 in the development of satellite communications in the Russian Federation and what to expect from 2022", which was held in the format of an open dialogue. The participants of the round table shared the results of their companies' activities in 2021, discussed issues related to the implementation of the federal space program for 2016-2025, as well as prospects for the development of domestic satellite communication systems.
The participants were especially interested in development of orbital groups and the ground segment of satellite communication systems for the providing the broadband data transmission and Internet access services, as well as aspects of the interconnection of satellite communications with 5G and 6G networks.
The international conference "#SpaceCom Digital Russia 2022" is being held in Moscow for the third time and annually gathers at one table the leading experts of the satellite communications industry as well as specialists in communications and broadcasting. The colleagues exchange their experience and forecasts for the further transformation of the industry in the era of global digitalization.
