JSC "Satellite System "Gonets" (part of the State Corporation "Roscosmos") took part in the Industry scientific and practical conference "Constellation of Roscosmos: the trajectory of science", which took place from September 29 to October 01, 2022 at the D.F. Ustinov Military Technical University in St. Petersburg.
During the conference, Pavel Cherenkov, CEO of SS Gonets JSC, spoke about the possibilities of using digital services of the Gonets low-orbit satellite system in various socio-economic spheres. He also acted as moderator of the section "Integrated information services based on advanced space systems", where specialists of specialized organizations spoke about the technologies being developed in Earth remote sensing systems, radio communications and broadband data transmission, about the development of radio navigation and radar technologies. At the end of the reports of colleagues, Pavel Cherenkov took part in expert discussions on the mechanisms of scientific and technological cooperation, as well as on issues of import substitution and import dependence at the enterprises of the rocket and space industry. JSC Gonets Satellite System has been a single operator of the Roscosmos State Corporation for communication, broadcasting and retransmission systems for several years, which allows the organization to accumulate experience in the development and targeted use of various satellite systems.
The branch scientific and practical conference "Constellation of Roscosmos: the Trajectory of Science" was held in order to coordinate the activities of the organizations of the Roscosmos State Corporation and the supporting educational organizations of higher education of the State Corporation in solving urgent tasks of scientific, innovative and educational projects, as well as in order to find the most high-tech and promising projects in the field of civil and dual-use technologies. During the conference on the territory of the BSTU "VOENMEH" named after D.F. Ustinov had exhibitions where promising developments made by employees and students of the university were presented.
