JSC "Satellite System "Gonets" (part of the State Corporation "Roscosmos") presented the unique digital equipment of the satellite communication system "Gonets" during the report to the Deputy Prime Ministers of the Russian Federation.
Deputy Prime Ministers Victoria Abramchenko and Yuri Borisov held a working meeting with representatives of companies belonging to the State Corporation "Roscosmos". The participants of the event discussed the current state and prospects for the development of the market of Russian satellite communication systems and remote sensing of the Earth.
During the meeting, Pavel Cherenkov, General Director of the Gonets Satellite System JSC, presented equipment and unique software and hardware complexes of the Gonets low-orbit satellite system, which allow transmitting data from any remote point of the Earth. In particular, antennas and radio modems of the satellite system were presented, as well as unique mobile subscriber devices "Gonets-Backpack" and "Gonets-Case". The prospective terminals were developed in the frame of the implementation of digital transformation strategy of the Roscosmos State Corporation.
Mobile devices of the Gonets system are portable compact communication complexes and are used to transmit personal and telematics information, as well as short voice messages. The omnidirectional antenna allows receiving and sending information in any, including difficult conditions (urban agglomeration, mountainous terrain, water surface, etc.).
Along with mobile satellite communications solutions, the Vice premiers also got acquainted with the equipment for stationary satellite communications of the Russian Satellite Communication Company (RSCC), which provides communication and broadcasting services using its own satellite group. The services were presented by Pavel Cherenkov as a single package of satellite communications services, which included user solutions based on the Gonets low-orbit system and geostationary RSCC devices.
