On the opening day of the Army-2023 forum, on August 14, Pavel Cherenkov, General Director of the "Satellite System Gonets" JSC, presented the report "Gonets and Luch Satellite Systems as elements of the Information infrastructure of the Russian Federation" at the Diversification of the Defense Industry Congress. The presentation, which aroused considerable interest of the audience, included a description and user segmentation of the Gonets low-orbit system and the Luch relay system, coverage of aspects of technological and information security of the satellite operator's activities in modern conditions, implemented cases of the use of satellite technologies in various sectors of the Russian economy.
On the second day of the Forum, on August 15, Maxim Diordiev, Director of the Satellite Systems Application Directorate, took part in the conference "Ensuring Technological sovereignty in the field of information satellite systems development", where he made a report "Development of digital services of the Gonets satellite system". The report included a description of the implemented and promising digital services of the Gonets satellite system, as well as information about the subscriber terminals and antennas being created for various segments of consumers.
The use of satellite solutions is becoming increasingly relevant in various fields, including security. Among the important stimulating factors, experts note the high independence of satellite communication channels from the ground infrastructure, the wide possibilities of operational relocation and scaling of activities when using them, the high security of transmitted data.
