35 years have passed since the launch of the first relaying satellite "Loutch", made by the "Information Satellite Systems" company named after academician M.F. Reshetnev "(today it is part of the State Corporation" Roscosmos "). The first launch of the "Loutch" spacecraft took place on October 25, 1985 from the Baikonur cosmodrome. It was launched into geostationary orbit and by its work laid the foundation for the formation of a space relay system.
Since 2011, three Luch-5 satellites have been launched into orbit, which are currently solving the problem of providing communication with low-flying objects of space technology, including the Russian segment of the International Space Station, as well as issuing high-precision corrections to the signals of the GLONASS system, relaying signals from emergency buoys of the COSPAS-SARSAT system and information from automated data collection platforms of Roshydromet.
