TASS: The Gonets-M1 satellite constellation is planned to be deployed in 2029

The deployment of the Gonets-M1 orbital constellation of communications satellites is planned to be completed in 2029, Pavel Cherenkov, General Director of the Gonets Satellite System JSC, told TASS.
He said that the new system will provide mobile subscribers with full-fledged satellite telephone communication, trunking communication, and will also be able to transmit messages from an Automated identification system (AIS).
