JSC "Satellite System "Gonets" (part of the State Corporation "Roscosmos") took part in the XV Federal Conference "Satellite Russia", which was held on February 16, 2023 in Moscow.
Maxim Diordiev, Director of the Satellite Systems Application Directorate, made a presentation at the session "Russian Space Developments and Projects", where he spoke about the experience of using digital services of the Gonets satellite system in various sectors of the economy and everyday life. The solutions are successfully applied in any, including difficult conditions (urban agglomeration, mountainous terrain, water surface, places with no GSM connection, etc.). In particular, the ship's ground stations of the Gonets system are installed on fishing vessels that catch, including in northern latitudes. Subscriber terminals of the Gonets system are used in the "Cedar" software and hardware complex, which is actively used for monitoring logging equipment. The "Impulse" solution with the help of Gonets equipment allows remote monitoring of power lines, and the "Ecologist" service via satellite communication channel will help prevent leakage of liquids from storage facilities or a dam break.
The discussion on the results of Maxim Diordiev's report touched upon the issues of import substitution in the development of subscriber satellite terminals of the Gonets system, as well as the vectors of development of existing boxed solutions and the possibilities of promising services planned for implementation in the Gonets system of the next generation.
