The Loutch multifunctional space relay system (MSRS) has successfully completed its its tasks at the launch of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with the "Progress MS-17" transport cargo vehicle (TCV).

After TCV "Progress MS-17" left the radio visibility zone of ground communication facilities (11th minute of flight), telemetry and command information from the transport spacecraft was transmitted by means of the MSRS "Loutch" (operator  JSC "Satellite System "Gonets" ). For these purposes, were used the channels of the "Luch-5A" and "Luch-5B" spacecraft, onboard equipment installed on the spacecraft, and the ground infrastructure. The duty shifts in the normal mode completed the tasks of planning and monitoring the retransmission sessions.

In total, starting from the launch of Progress into the near-earth orbit and up to the completion of its docking with the ISS on July 2 at 03:59 Moscow time, 23 relay sessions were successfully carried out. The information was successfully obtained and communicated to the end users. The planned work of MSRS "Loutch" with the docked "Progress MS-17" TCV will continue in accordance with the established schedule.
