Representatives of Gonets JSC (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation and the operator of the multifunctional space relay system (MCSR) Luch) took part in the final stage of the deployment of the station for receiving information from emergency beacons in Zheleznogorsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Currently, the installation, commissioning and complex testing of the station in Zheleznogorsk on the territory of Reshetnev JSC have been completed. This station was designed and manufactured by JSC "Russian Space Systems" for use in working with the Luch-5B spacecraft. The complex of works on the deployment, preparation and conduct of test checks was carried out jointly by specialists of JSC "RSS", JSC "OKB MEI", JSC "Reshetnev" and JSC "Gonets". The results of the conducted complex of tests confirmed the readiness of the station for operation in the international system "COSPAS-SARSAT" using the relay channels of the spacecraft "Luch-5B" MCSR "Luch".
The commissioning of the new information receiving station will significantly expand the capabilities of the COSPAS-SARSAT international system to rescue people in distress at sea, in the air and on land.
