The manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment Impulse LLC, together with Gonets Satellite System JSC (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation), is completing the development and testing of a prototype of a universal satellite platform designed for operational collection and transmission of data on the state of power grids and pipelines from various sensors, voltage meters, current, temperature, gas analyzers and other equipment.
The solution is a compact stand-alone device in a waterproof case. The power source is a supercapacitor charged from a solar battery - a modern energy storage and current source that can withstand up to 10,000 charge cycles without deterioration in performance.
Efficiency and uninterrupted information exchange between the platform and the data collection center is due to the Gonets subscriber terminal integrated into the device, the presence of which provides a stable data transmission channel anywhere in Russia.
The solution is especially relevant for monitoring network infrastructure facilities located in areas with no or partial coverage by terrestrial communication networks.
The developed device was patented in Russia, presented at the Innoprom-2021 exhibition and introduced to the Russian market. Currently, work is underway to obtain international patents (USA, China and the EU) to bring the product to the international market.
