The Murmansk branch of the JSC "Satellite System Gonets" (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) presented a new "Gonets ship antenna", which will be used with the Gonets ship stations. The event took place in the building of the Union of Fishery Industrialists of the North. The presentation was organized within the framework of the traditional profile event of the fishery industry "Fishery Hour", which ensured the maximum coverage of end users of the ship antennas "Gonets", some of which were connected remotely via video conferencing.
The development of the new antenna took into account the own experience of JSC "Satellite System" Gonets" and the proposals of seamen obtained using the ship stations "Gonets", which have been operating on fishing vessels for more than three years. In particular, in the new antenna, the tightness indicators have been increased to the level of IP-67, a new cable assembly with TNC connectors has been used, and the power of the fastening magnets has been increased. In addition, the base of the new antenna is made entirely of stainless steel, which eliminates the slightest possibility of corrosion during its long-term use. Serial delivery of antennas to service organizations will begin at the end of this year.
