In anticipation of the International Arctic forum, the Minister of transport Maxim Sokolov spoke about the development of the Arctic transport system of Russia, including the creation of a single protected information and telecommunication system of the transport complex in the Arctic.
Among others, the Minister was asked the question: "what is the purpose of a unified protected information and telecommunication system of the transport complex of the Arctic zone? What will be its functions?"
Maxim Sokolov said, "This is our most important area of work for today. Reliable information and navigation environment is the basis for the safe and efficient operation of the transport complex of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.
