13.12.2022

Representative of JSC "Satellite system "Gonets" (part of the State Corporation "Roscosmos") He spoke about the possibilities of satellite monitoring at the XII International Forum "The Arctic: Present and Future", which was held on December 8-9, 2022 in St. Petersburg.

The Forum was held with the support and participation of the Federation Council and the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation, the State Commission for the Development of the Arctic, the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, as well as other relevant federal, executive and regional authorities. The subscriber equipment of the system has been installed on fishing vessels for many years. The Gonets satellite system allows you to quickly transmit the necessary data to the industry monitoring system and monitor the location of ships located in the most remote areas of the Russian Arctic. The subscriber equipment of the Gonets system is compact and can be used in any weather and geographical conditions, the omnidirectional antenna does not require pointing at the spacecraft.

The XII International Forum "Arctic: Present and Future" traditionally gathered more than 2000 participants in St. Petersburg. During the two-day business program, experts from the scientific community, government representatives, heads of Russian companies and representatives of civil society discussed strategic tasks for the socio-economic development of the Arctic zone of Russia, developed tactical steps for their implementation, presented domestic projects in the Arctic, and also assessed the investment potential and development opportunities of the region.

Digital solutions using the Gonets satellite system can also be used for monitoring road and river transport, industrial facilities, oil and gas production, power grids, digital monitoring of liquid media, as well as for meteorological and hydrological monitoring. The key advantages of the Gonets industry solutions are the ability to transmit data from anywhere on Earth from both mobile and stationary objects.
