JSC "Satellite System "Gonets" (part of Roscosmos State Corporation) and LLC "MosOblTelematika" (M-Telematica Company (part of National Telematic Systems Concern) signed an agreement on using the "Gonets" satellite system capabilities to improve reliability of cargo transportation. The participants also agreed on the joint development of digital logistics and transport services, joining efforts in the field of information accumulation and processing.

The cooperation is aimed at developing monitoring services for cargo transportation for

the domestic market, including a project of an electronic navigation seal (ENS). This product from the M-Telematics company provides more reliable and efficient transportation: anENS installed on the cargo determines and transmits its coordinates, and can also monitor the delivery conditions by measuring data on temperature, humidity, illumination and other indicators. The seal can work without recharging for at least 45 days in conditions from -60 degrees Celsius to +80. It has a navigation module (32-channel receiver for GLONASS, GPS, BeiDou signals), as well as an internal memory for storing information and a power supply.

Thanks to the partnership,  the ENS will receive expanded telecommunication capabilities: now, in addition to GSM communication, the seal will also be able to transmit information through the "Gonets" satellite communication system. The orbital constellation and ground infrastructure of this system allows the transmission of information from mobile objects throughout the Russian Federation, as well as anywhere in the world, including in areas where there is no cellular coverage.

Pavel Cherenkov, General Director of JSC "Satellite System "Gonets":

“The signing of a partnership agreement with the M-Telematics company is a significant step in the development of "Gonets" satellite communications services in the transport monitoring segment. Along with the provision of communications for infrastructure facilities of the oil and gas and energy industries, sea and river vessels, equipment operating in remote and inaccessible areas, rail and road transport is an important area of activity for us.  And the partnership with the M-Telematics company will allow us to develop this promising market segment even more successfully. "

Gennady Kupinsky, General Director of M-Telematics:

“The signed agreement opens up new opportunities for users of the electronic navigation seal. The "Gonets" satellite communication system ensures the transmission of information even in the most remote corners of not only Russia, but also the world. ENS users can be sure that with the help of an electronic seal they will quickly receive important information about the location and condition of the cargo, and in case of a problem, it will be quickly resolved. This will make our customers logistics services even more efficient and customer-oriented. "

JSC  "Satellite System "Gonets" is part of the State Corporation "Roscosmos" and is its single operator for communication systems, broadcasting and relaying. The "Gonets" orbital group includes 12 "Gonets-M" spacecraft and provides 100% coverage of the Earth. In the near future, it is planned to update the orbital constellation with three more spacecraft.

LLC "MosOblTelematika" ("M-Telematics") is a part of the concern "National Telematic Systems", the company was established in 1994 with the aim of developing and producing high-tech radio-electronic products for telecommunications, automotive and other sectors of the economy. M-Telematics provides a full cycle of design and production of complex electronics products, which are carried out at modern production facilities in the Ramensky District of the Moscow Region.
